This week has seen me completing a 3 day Electric Reach forklift course for a long standing client in Devon. Both operators demonstrated a good safe standard throughout the training, once the assessments had been completed we moved location to carry out some familiarisation & job specific training onto what the operators will be doing in the future. Its important to get new operators used to new tasks at a pace that does not put them under too much pressure.
Whilst the practical training was being carried out I took the opportunity to use my newly purchased portable magnetic barriers – these were fantastic at controlling the site staff that kept wandering to close to our training area. Quick and easy to use and re-locate I was left wondering why I had never used them before. I will use these every time I am in a warehouse location moving forward.
