Here at SMC Training, if we can, we like to give course delegates real world experience of some of the tasks that they will be expected to undertake. When possible I like to get the course delegates unloading pallets of goods. In this next set of pictures (taken by someone else) you can see this very inexperienced course delegate being guided under the strict supervision of Steve, unloading a pallet of goods weighing about 850kgs from a large goods vehicle from start to finish.
Rest assured, his visual checks were plentiful and constant! I believe in giving course delegates experience in doing this if we have time, also smaller vans are trickier to deal with. We only did 1 or 2 pallets each delegate, the usual forklift operator completed the lorry, 26 pallets takes a while.
