Its been an exceptionally busy period lately, these photo’s are just a small selection of some of the courses carried out by our instructor Steve Choat.

Its been a while since I’ve posted on here, such is the demand for SMC Training Service in 2023, this latest blog is the first time in 3 months I’ve had a chance to show off what we’ve been up to in 2023. A huge variety of courses, all over the South West. Demand for Steve to train is busier than ever.

More photos from a recent Dumper course conducted on a Saturday for a very good customer. Also, i have received a lovely review from a new customer who I spent 4 days with last week.

Ever wonder how companies fill up the Dumpy bags with loose material, special attachments such as the one pictured above, a local company asked for some refresher training for their staff, while we were on-site we also added the bag filling attachment onto their certificate’s. All part of the service.

I really enjoy training on these machines, they are used in a lot if various industries from roofing, building, agricultural, animal feed and many other environments. They are very versatile and require that the operators are also familiar with any attachments that they are likely to use as part of their job roles. last week saw me training on these for 4 days in different area’s of the South West and on very different machines, although they are both classed as a J2 category machines (with a boom length of under 9 metres). Quite a few experienced operators were assessed, all of them demonstrating skill, good control and an excellent awareness of their surroundings, well done to everyone that completed their training with SMC Training Service Ltd. Last Friday saw SMC Training Services annual Accreditation audit, an auditor (TSA) from ITSSAR visited me on site to ensure we remain compliant with their strict requirements, not just with setting up practical courses but also all paperwork system’s are up to date & current. Met a new auditor – who was both professional & extremely helpful, and also offered me guidance on a variety of things. The audit went very well, with no problems at all. Many thanks go out to Otter Garden Centres for the use of their facilities.
