Transportable Forklift Training in Devon
Spent 2 days training with a delegate recently showing him how to attach & detach the transportable lift truck on & off a lorry trailer. 2 long but excellent days spent familiarising to the unit preparing Miri of Mecano SW Ltd for the delivery of his own machine and trailer combination. He also had 7 hrs CPC training on day 2 of the course to count towards his new 35 hour total required to obtain his next LGV driver CPC card. Local Pie producer’s forklift training carried out in January 2022
I had the pleasure of a jaunt down to Dartmouth to Clive’s Purely Plants, a repeat customer they trust us to deliver on site training to their staff. There 3 delegates were an absolute pleasure to be with, they all demonstrated a safe outlook and safe use of their forklift on their site. All 3 also had some job specific training given where they all unloaded delivery lorries under Steve’s experienced supervision, given advice when needed. Good luck to Stan, Liza & Jo for the future operating duties on the site.

MEWP Training on site in Barnstaple this week!
More up in the air training on MEWP’s, this week in Barnstaple on a construction site. Before the rains came we managed to get these chaps through their 3a (Scissor Lift) & 3b (Mobile Boom) training. 40 feet plus up, with the wind speed being monitored by themselves (i gave them my hand held wind gauge – Anemometer to use), they attained a very safe standard. More recent training carried out in the South West
Recently whilst on site training these chaps on their J4 JCB Teletruk, they asked if they could automatically use their site “lifting platform” that they had. I said – “Only if you demonstrate that you:
a. Have all of the Reports of Thorough Examination up to date for all of the equipment involved. Forklift – check. Man cage – check. My harness & adjustable Lanyard fitted correctly – check.
b. Risk Assessment & Rescue plan completed – check.
Well up you go gents! Happy to help out where previous training courses & providers hadn’t bothered to cover this off with the staff.
